John was off work today, so we went to the Museum of Science and Industry for a few hours. There is an exhibit there currently called "Jim Henson's Fantastic World". You had to buy tickets for a certain time in order to enter the exhibit. We didn't really know what to expect, but were kind of underwhelmed once we got in there. Partly because we had to wait until 3:30 to get in, when we got to the museum sometime before 1:00. Also partly because the exhibit was just that...just an exhibit with pictures on the walls and some muppets on display. It was interesting, but by the time we got to go in, Kenzie was pretty tired and worn out from 2 and a half hours of walking around the rest of the museum. So we just sort of walked through and looked at things quickly.

My favorite exhibit is still the baby exhibit that shows the stages from a week old fetus to birth...with real babies. It was sad to look at the babies and know that they are real, but it was particularly sad to see the full-term baby at the end though. I was carrying Aubrey in the carrier, and looking at the baby in the display that was not much smaller than she is now was just sad to see. Last year when we at the museum they were redoing that entire section of the museum, so the babies were not on display. Nor were the body slices. But they were all back now, and the body slices were just as creepy now as they were when I was a kid.
